Selection System
ISSB follows a selection process to assess candidates for commissioning in Pakistan Army, Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Air Force.
ISSB is a premier national institution that selects future leadership for Defence Forces of Pakistan. For last seven decades, ISSB has been fulfilling this esteemed task with commitment, undoubted devotion and prestige. ISSB Centre Kohat, Gujranwala, Malir and Quetta are systematically located to facilitate candidates appearing from across the country. Candidates appearing at ISSB are subjected to an elaborate selection system and ones with requisite leadership potentials are recommended to undergo training in respective services academies.
Selection Process
Structure and design of activities at ISSB are flexible and are regularly adjusted to meet the specific requirements of Defence Forces. It involves an innovative and creative range of individual and group assessment methods, activities and sessions designed to provide an opportunity for selectors to correctly assess the personality of candidates. Final picture of a candidate emerges reflecting all dimensions of his personality.
